Q: it's raining out and/or stormy weather. Are swimming lessons cancelled?
A: Swimming lessons do not get cancelled for rain. They DO get cancelled if there is thunder or lightning. The lifeguards have to clear the water for 30 minutes after hearing thunder/seeing lightning so sometimes that means a last minute cancellation, or that some lessons during the day are cancelled and others run. We know that this can be frustrating for people who have to travel in for lessons, but it is out of our (and our lifeguard/instructors) control.

Cancellations can be made up to 14 days prior to the session start date to receive a refund minus a $10 administration fee. After that point refunds for cancellations due to illness or injury will be on a case by case basis.
Payment must be received within 10 days of confirmation being sent in order to secure lesson registrations. If payment is not received within 10 days, the spot(s) will be reopened for others to register.
Occasionally individual lessons may need to be shortened or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (eg. dangerous weather or poor air quality due to wildfire smoke). Make up classes may be offered when possible but are not guaranteed.
